What Are Business Assessment Services?
Our Business Assessment Services will help assess your business or an area or function within your company. All our assessments start with best practices and metrics to determine whether your business and area are performing as they should be. Assessments are consulting engagements that require interaction and engagement with the business owner and possibly critical stakeholders within the business.
Every evaluation will include a detailed report that outlines our findings as well as recommendations for change or improvement. It does not, however, involve making the actual changes required. If you also need help in implementing the changes or improvements, we can provide you with a fixed-price consulting contract based on your particular requirements.
For many of the engagements, we will require access to your financial systems as well as your staff to ask relevant questions.
Business assessments, for the most part, except for the business plan assessment, assume that you have been in business for at least 2 years and have history and data to assess.
Our Business Assessment Offerings
All of our Business Assessment offerings follow the same process and methodology.
-
All assessments will start with a generic questionnaire followed by a detailed survey to collect the required information about your business, area, or function, which is being assessed. We will also ask for any relevant information to be provided, such as financials, plans, job descriptions or written processes, to name a few.
-
The next step, once the information provided has been assessed, we will ask to interview the business owner to confirm our understanding or for the owner to provide move detailed information on what has been already uncovered.
-
Once all of the necessary data has been collected, a proper analysis is performed based on best practices. Note: all financial analyses will be performed by our partner, who is a CPA.
-
A report will be provided by way of a report which will include recommendations for change or improvement in the business, area, or function.
-
If you would like another area of your business assessed that is not listed, this would be performed under our customized business consulting engagements.
Business Performance Assessment
A business performance assessment is for businesses who are not sure why their business is not performing as it should be. Business Performance is very unique by business as not all areas have the same level of importance depending on size and industry. The analysis is based on our business performance assessment and financials only. This assessment is sufficient for most businesses who are looking to make changes to help increase their overall business performance. The following areas are assessed:
-
Business Strategy & Planning
-
Risk Management & Regulations
-
Finance & Accounting
-
Marketing & Lead Generation
-
Sales & Sales Management
-
Human Resources
-
Leadership, Management & Communications
-
Operations
-
2-3 Years of Financial Statements
For those businesses who want even a deeper assessment, we provide a 2nd level performance assessment based on a qualitative questionnaire designed specifically for your business. From there, the engagement is then customized based on the needs of the client, where we provide supplemental coaching and consulting.
Business Plan Assessment
A business plan assessment will determine if an existing business plan is adequate for financing. We will review the business plan and provide you with a report on the deficiencies in each area based on best practices. This will not include any rewriting or making changes to the plan itself. If you need the plan changed, then it will be done through a business plan engagement, as making changes to an existing plan and incorporating one writing style would cost more than starting from scratch. The areas that will be assessed:
-
